Body

Primary needs -- those of the first level in Maslow's Pyramid -- concern survival and physical security. Drinking, eating, sleeping, having a roof over your head and good physical health, represent the fundamental needs and the same basis of life, they are the primary support to our sustenance.

This is not to mean that these are the only needs; on the contrary many others do exist and have an important function in term of psycho-physical feeding.

It is particularly important, in the competitive consumerist society we live in, not to let our survival and security needs to become the main driver of all our actions and behaviors.

It is very easy to start to think our body as a machine to maintain. The fixed end is here that of performance and efficiency, whereas the integral point of view maintains that nourishing our physical body is necessary as nourishing our energetic, emotional and subtle bodies.

The series of exercises proposed here is based on the teachings of master Shizuto Masunaga, inserted in the context of the integral Vita 4.0 method.
